New Osteopath joins Victoria
Biography - Jill Courtman BOstMed ND
Jill Courtman, registered osteopath and naturopath, graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005, after 5 years study, with a BOstMed.
Prior to becoming an osteopath Jill worked for Coutts bank, and also completed an ITEC massage diploma.
Jill has a special interest in naturopathy and in helping to reduce pain with simple relaxation techniques, exercise and hydrotherapy. She completed an extra year's study in sports osteopathy and paediatrics, amongst other things.
She works in London part of the week in the Westminster Gym in Parliament and in a complementary health centre in Wood Green and worked last year in the pain clinic at the Royal Free Hospital, treating people with chronic conditions.
Jill uses a variety of techniques including massage (deep and light); visceral osteopathy as well as general osteopathic techniques to help increase movement and reduce pain in restricted muscles and joints.
From July 2007 Jill will be able to use dry needling techniques (medical acupuncture), where appropriate, for interested patients.
